The mayor that would replace the mayor that wants to be mayor will find out if he is replacing the mayor that wants to be mayor a month from this day.
The mayor that wants to be mayor is the great Jim Watson, former MPP for Ottawa West-Nepean who is running for and is the obvious choice [fingers crossed for the Capital] in Ottawa. The mayor that wants to replace him is Bob Chiarelli who was mayor before the current mayor who [fingers crossed for the Capital] is going to be retiring in late October of this year.
March 4 will be the day the ballots are cast in the by election to replace Mr. Watson. Mr. Chiarelli is running for the Liberals. The Tories haven't nominated a candidate; two are in the mix: Mike Patton and Beth Graham.
